Meg and hades11/8/2023 ![]() ![]() Malphon: Melee weapons are useless during this attack, but there's just enough time once Meg's done to sneak in a quick special uppercut attack before she's ready to attack again.Varatha: Get out of range of Meg's whip, then use your special for a ranged attack.Keep your distance instead during this attack, and use the time to line up a powerful bull rush directly after Meg's done. Aegis: Zag's shield can protect against this attack, but Meg's whip will knock him far away.Dash out of range of Meg's whip, then either spam some quick attacks or use her whipping time to line up a power shot. Coronacht: Ranged weapons do well against this attack.Dash out of range and use the time to either take out one of her summons or to just stay alive. She uses her whip to make a few instantaneous aerial circles that will do 15 damage if they catch Zag. As soon as you see Meg's hand raised, she's getting ready to pull out her whip for this attack. This attack has 360-degree coverage close to Megaera. Exagryph: Make sure you reload as you're escaping Meg's dash, then unleash as many bullets as you can towards her in the seconds after her attack.Malphon: Dodge Megaera's attack, then use Malphon's overpowered special uppercut attack once to do a decent amount of damage for very little work.Or you can step to the side, and use her attack time to power up Zag's spin attack. Varatha: Zag's spear has enough range that you can get in one hit while Meg is crouching and still have enough time to dash away.Block her attack, then hit her back with a bull rush. ![]() Aegis: Zag's powerful shield can protect against this attack.Her dash has a distance limit, so if you're far enough away, you can use her lunge time to line up a power shot and nail her a couple of times in the seconds after the attack. Coronacht: Use Coronacht's range to your advantage and dash far away from her as soon as she's crouched down.Stygius: Once you've avoided her attack, dash after her and hack away to do some good damage in the few seconds that she uses to reorient herself. ![]() Just have Zagreus step or dash to the side, and let her lunge into nothing. As soon as Meg crouches down, she's locked into her trajectory. This is a relatively easy attack to avoid. She crouches down, then dashes towards Zagreus in a straight line, dealing 13 damage if she hits. But she's a tricky boss, and every upgrade helps in its own way. It makes no assumptions on what boons, upgrades, or keepsakes you might be equipping it should be possible to defeat Meg within the first couple of times after meeting her if you know her attack patterns. This guide will show you what to do against each of Megaera's four attacks, with each weapon. They are weak, so spend a couple of seconds taking them out when Meg summons them. The more they spawn, the more likely it is that Zagreus will get hit by an errant purple sphere.
